ScientiMax Learning Programs Inc.
Effective Date: June 2, 2026
This Refund Policy applies to individual student purchases of courses, micro-credentials, memberships, educational services, digital products, learning resources, and related offerings provided by ScientiMax Learning Programs Inc. (“ScientiMax”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
Institutional clients, educational institutions, corporate clients, licensing partners, and other business customers are subject to separate written agreements and refund terms, where applicable.
1. Refund Eligibility
Students may request a refund within the earlier of:
- Seven (7) calendar days from the date of purchase; or
- The date on which the student engages in any of the activities listed below.
Activities that end refund eligibility include:
- Accessing or viewing any course module beyond introductory or preview content provided solely for orientation purposes;
- Downloading any course materials, resources, templates, files, recordings, or other educational content;
- Attempting, submitting, completing, or otherwise participating in any assessment, quiz, examination, assignment, survey, graded activity, practical exercise, or evaluation.
Whichever occurs first ends refund eligibility.
Once seven (7) calendar days have elapsed from the purchase date, or once the student has engaged in any of the activities described above, the course shall be deemed commenced and no refund will be available except where required by applicable law.
Introductory or preview content provided at the commencement of a course, including welcome materials, orientation content, or course overviews, shall not by itself constitute course commencement for the purposes of this Refund Policy.
2. Administrative Fee
Approved refunds are subject to an administrative fee equal to six percent (6%) of the tuition paid, up to a maximum charge of CAD $150 per student enrollment.
The administrative fee reflects the actual or reasonably estimated direct costs incurred by ScientiMax in connection with enrollment processing, payment processing, account creation, access provisioning, administrative services, fraud prevention measures, and related registration activities.
The administrative fee does not constitute a penalty.
The administrative fee will be deducted from the refund amount and the remaining balance will be refunded to the student.
3. Digital Course Access and Usage Monitoring
Students receive immediate access to digital educational materials, learning resources, course content, and related services upon enrollment.
Course access and usage may be monitored, recorded, and retained through ScientiMax’s learning management systems, educational platforms, enrollment systems, access logs, security systems, and related technologies for the purposes of:
- Determining refund eligibility;
- Maintaining academic records;
- Protecting intellectual property;
- Preventing fraud and abuse;
- Ensuring platform security; and
- Administering educational services.
The collection, use, storage, and retention of such information is governed by ScientiMax’s Privacy Policy.
Students are responsible for reviewing the Privacy Policy before enrolling in any course or program.
4. Immediate Access and Commencement Acknowledgement
Before completing a purchase, students are required to acknowledge the following statement:
“I understand that course content, digital materials, and educational resources are made available immediately upon purchase. I consent to receiving immediate access and acknowledge that downloading course materials, accessing content beyond introductory or preview content, or attempting any assessment, assignment, quiz, examination, or graded activity will end my eligibility for a refund in accordance with ScientiMax’s Refund Policy and applicable law.”
This acknowledgement forms part of the student’s agreement with ScientiMax and is collected through an electronic checkbox, click-through agreement, enrollment form, payment page, or similar acceptance mechanism at the time of purchase.
5. No Refunds After Commencement
Except where required by applicable law, no refunds will be provided after:
- The expiry of the refund eligibility period described in Section 1; or
- Commencement of the course as defined in this Refund Policy;
whichever occurs first.
6. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits, excludes, waives, or replaces any rights or remedies that may be available under applicable consumer protection, privacy, contract, or other laws.
Where a refund is required by law, ScientiMax Learning Programs Inc. will comply with all applicable legal requirements.
7. Refund Requests
Refund requests must be submitted in writing within the applicable refund period to:
Email: in**@********ax.ca
Refund requests should include:
- Student name;
- Email address used for registration;
- Course or program purchased;
- Date of purchase; and
- Reason for the refund request.
ScientiMax may request additional information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility for a refund.
8. Processing Time
Approved refunds will generally be processed within ten (10) business days following approval.
Banks, credit card issuers, payment processors, financial institutions, or other third-party payment providers may require additional time to complete the refund transaction.
9. Refund Method
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase whenever reasonably possible.
ScientiMax reserves the right to use an alternative refund method where necessary to comply with payment processor requirements, fraud prevention procedures, legal obligations, or operational requirements.
10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Students agree to contact ScientiMax before initiating a chargeback, payment dispute, payment reversal, or similar claim through a financial institution, payment processor, credit card issuer, or third-party payment provider.
In the event of a chargeback or payment dispute, ScientiMax reserves the right to provide enrollment records, payment records, access logs, usage records, acceptance records, communications, and other relevant documentation to the applicable financial institution, payment processor, dispute resolution body, or legal authority for the purpose of responding to the dispute.
ScientiMax further reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to courses, educational services, certificates, transcripts, records of completion, memberships, accounts, or other student benefits while a chargeback or payment dispute remains unresolved.
11. Governing Law
This Refund Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.
Any dispute arising from or relating to this Refund Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
12. Acceptance of Policy
Before completing a purchase, enrollment, registration, or payment, students are required to affirmatively acknowledge and accept this Refund Policy through an electronic checkbox, click-through agreement, enrollment form, payment page, or similar acceptance mechanism.
By completing a purchase after such acknowledgement, the student confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy.
ScientiMax may retain records of policy acceptance, including timestamps, IP addresses, account identifiers, and policy version information for evidentiary, administrative, legal, compliance, and dispute-resolution purposes.
13. Policy Updates
ScientiMax Learning Programs Inc. reserves the right to modify, update, or replace this Refund Policy from time to time.
Updated versions of this Refund Policy will be posted on the ScientiMax website and become effective on the date specified in the revised version.
The version of this Refund Policy in effect on the date of purchase shall govern that transaction unless otherwise required by law.
